😀Hello,
In this blog, I'm going to intoduce
amazing RAMEN and TSUKEMEN in Kyoto!
I'm japanese, I have lived in kyoto over 20 years and I love ramen. And I have eaten more than 50 ramens especially in Kyoto. I'm going to show you my favorite ramens in kyoto!
1.Ginjouramen Kubota(吟醸ラーメン久保田)
Kubota is my best tsukemen in kyoto!
Do you know tsukemen? Tsukemen is a kind of ramen style, noodle and soup are separated and we eat that by dipping noodle into thick soup. Noodles are usually cold and thick and soups are very hot and thicker than ramen, after eating noodle you pour another speaciall soup into the rest of your thick soup and enjoy tasting the soup like raman soup.
Kubota serves rich miso soup and it perfectly goes well with noodle. In Kubota, people are supposed to get meal ticket by vending machine first, you can find that on the left side of the door.
You can get there 15 min walk from Kyoto station.

2.Daiichiasahi in takabashi(第一旭 高橋店)
You can have this ramen very easily because it is located at 7 min walk from Kyoto station.
Daiichiasahi takabasi has been serving this amazing ramen for over 50 years, the soup is based on soy souce and they also have some side menus like gyoza.
Be careful! There are some other ramen restaurants that have same name "daiichiasahi", but others are definitely different restaurants and they have different tastes.

3.Wajouryoumen Sugari(和醸良麺 すがり)
Sugari serves tonkotsu soup and two types of noodles, which are called Teiban(normal) and Yuzu(citron).
You are supposed to get meal ticket and the chef ask you which type of noodle you like when taking your seat.
I recommend to choose a noodle "Teiban", which is very similar to Soba made from buckwheat flour. Sugari serves motsu(offal) on the top of ramen, I don't like any offal but motsu that Sugari serves is completely out of nauseous taste and I love it. If you are unwilling to try motsu, you can choose other topping like beef or pork.
They also serves tsukemen, you can't miss it!
It is difficult to find this restaurant even for japanese because Sugari is in back alley near the intersection called shijokarasuma and the appearance is like an old kyoto-style house. If you get there, you will have amazing ramen.

4.Inoichi(猪一)
Inoichi serves ramen based soy souce, it's called Shinasoba.
The soup seems like very simple but once you taste it, you feel several kinds of flavor like fish and chicken.
you can choose two types of soup called shiro(白) and black(黒), I highly recommend shiro! The soup in the picture is shiro. You can also add a type of dried seaweed called tangle flakes and change the taste into a bit sour. There is always a long line of people who are waiting for this beautiful ramen.

5.Takayasu(高安)
|
(Ramen karaage set) |
Takayasu is famous not only for the ramen but also the big deep fried chicken, so you should order "Karaage set". Karaage means deep fried chicken in japanese and Takayasu has unique karaage that include curry flavor. I believe you like it.
The ramen soup is called tori paitan, which is thick white broth prepared by boiling chicken bone until melted. the noodle is thin and good combination with the soup.
Their limited specialty called suji ramen, which is a fibrous meat ramen topped with a meat stew, is especially popular. I get it every time when I go there.
